Dr. Tim Kretzschmar is a 2012 graduate of Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. Following vet school he took the opportunity to pursue a post-doctoral research degree at the Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine. It was in College Station where he met his wife Monica. In 2015 they moved to Denver, CO where Dr. Kretzschmar worked at a 24-hour small animal emergency practice. From 2018 to 2025 he worked as an associate and then lead veterinarian for a private practice in San Antonio. His professional interests encompass everything related to companion animal medicine in general and surgery and dermatology in particular. As a fan of the outdoors, Dr. Kretzschmar is convinced that time off is best-spent fishing, hunting or gardening. He's also been known to enjoy a good wine or game of Skat. Dr. Kretzschmar and his wife have two wonderful children and share their home with Kitkit the cat and Willie the dog, as well as 5 chickens named Brownie One through Five.
Dr. Kretzschmar is dedicated not only to providing exceptional veterinary care but also to keeping Guilbeau Station Animal Hospital a family-owned and operated practice.
